Jessica Robinson
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST
Jessica’s career as an OT commenced in the public sector where she was employed in the older persons community mental health team as a care coordinator. She then transitioned to the acute adult mental health ward before entering private practice, to specialise as an early intervention and paediatric therapist.
Jessica is a practitioner in Sounds Write, a multisensory, structured synthetic phonics programme based on the science of reading. Jessica is passionate about enhancing the participation of dyslexic students in both the school setting and wider community.
She is also a practitioner in Therapeutic Listening, which is a specific sound-based intervention that is embedded in a developmental and sensory integration perspective.
Jessica has extensive experience working with the diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders & Intellectual Disability among many others. She adopts a family centred, holistic approach to practice and is passionate about empowering others.
She has trained & supervises a number of TLC Therapy Assistants. She has designed & implemented all induction based training for Thrive tutors & she also mentors Occupational Therapy students completing their undergraduate degree.
